Vaccation

Damn, almost everyone i know is going on a long trip for a min of like 5 days, yet here i am still in Singapore =/

Lets see, there's people going to Australia/HK/Italy/Korea and i'm going to town. -.-

Has it ever occured to you that different people like to enjoy their holidays differently? Holidays as in trips aboard not locally.

My dad for one, likes to go to resorts, places to relax and just laze the whole day away, with good food, a good book, somewhere like Bali, a quiet retreat from the bustling never-ending city life that never seems to take a break, even during festive seasons.

Then, there's always the shopping type, who'd go to shopppppppppppppping heaven! These are the ones with the stamina, they could just shop all day, 8am-10pm, just buying new clothes and stuff alone satisfies their desires. One hotspot for such people would probably be places with night markets, uncountable malls, somewhere like Thailand?

And last but definitely not least would be the scenery enjoying type. These interest those who appreciate the culture of the country, love to take photos of monuments and rare phenomenons as well as those who just want to see more, widen their scope of horizon, know more about the world itself. Perhaps somewhere like Egypt would interest this group, the statues, the science behind the pyramids, the wars fought and the culture of the area.

I for one am the third type, its always been my dream to backpack, whether with friends or family. Not as in the forest kinda backpack, but the type where one would just rome around the country, enjoying the scenery, soaking in the lifestyle of the country, as well as knowing their history (this sounds geeky).

I love museums, monuments and rare phenomenons, and hopefully, by next year i may just get the chance to backpack! Hopefully.

But for now, i guess its still more of Singapore for me.
